Title: Mandated Reporting
Summary/Overview: Mandated reporters are required to report or cause a report to be made when, in the ordinary course of their employment or profession, they have reasonable cause to suspect or believe that a child under the age of 18 has been abused, neglected or is placed in imminent risk of serious harm in accordance with Connecticut General Statutes §17a-101a. As a staff of Family & Children's aid, you are a mandated reporter.
Objectives: As a staff of Family & Children's aid, you are a mandated reporter. This approximately 45min online training in which you will learn 1) definitions of abuse and neglect 2) when to file a report 3) how to file a report.
Date/Time: Please work with your supervisor to determine the best time to complete the training. Presenter(s): Department of Children & Families
Credits Available: 0 Credit hours are available for this session.
Family & Children’s Aid has been approved by the National Association of Social Workers, CT Chapter, CEC Program. Programs that do not qualify for credit are clearly identified.
