The Family Sailing Week (FaSW27): Second Edition! β΅π§πΆπ
Event details & location
Join us for the adventure of a lifetime in the stunning Ionian Islands of Greece.
π Ionian sailing: Known for calm waters, beautiful beaches, crystal-clear bays, and charming Greek villages, the Ionian Islands are one of Europe's most family-friendly sailing destinations. We expect to explore islands such as Lefkada, Meganisi, Ithaca, Kefalonia, Kastos, and Kalamos, with plenty of opportunities for sailing, swimming, snorkeling, paddleboarding, and relaxing ashore.
πΊοΈ Potential route: A sample route can be viewed here. The final itinerary will depend on weather conditions, crew preferences, and marina availability.
βοΈ Getting there: We expect to start and finish in the Lefkada area. The nearest airport is Preveza International Airport (PVK), approximately 20 minutes from the marina. The exact marina and route will be confirmed once boat bookings are finalized (foreseen for March 2027).
About the Family Sailing Week
After six years of organizing the ForrΓ³ Sailing Week (FSW), Bernardo and Milena recently became parents, but their passion for sailing remains unchanged. Instead of pausing their adventures, they created the Family Sailing Week (FaSW): a sailing experience designed for families with children who want to enjoy nature, community, and the sea.
The first edition, with a 5-year-old child, our baby girl, and grandparents on board (definitely recommended!), was a great success, so we are looking forward to repeating the experience.
Spend a week sailing with other families through the sheltered waters of the Ionian Islands, combining outdoor adventures, shared meals, beautiful beaches, and relaxed time on the water.
Activities may include: Swimming, snorkeling, stand-up paddling, foiling πββοΈ, yoga π§ββοΈ, sunbathing, reading π, exploring coastal villages ποΈ, visiting beaches ποΈ, group cooking on board π² and, of course, sailing.
The Family Sailing Week will run in parallel with our ForrΓ³ Sailing Week flotilla, which means there may be opportunities to join selected social and dancing activities together with the FSW participants.
