Get ready for a sweet afternoon of bonding and creativity! Join us for a cupcake-decorating adventure designed to spark your child’s imagination and create sweet memories together. Under the expert guidance of professional baker and cake artist Masooda Rahman, you and your little one will learn the whimsical art of cupcake design. While you work, enjoy light refreshments and the joy of creating something delicious together!

Whether you’re a regular in the kitchen or just looking for a fun, elevated way to spend the day, this experience blends meaningful connection with a touch of sugar and a lot of heart.

Your Ticket Includes:

• Live instruction & hands-on guidance from professional cake decorator, Masooda Rahman
• Cupcake decorating materials including: piping bags, piping tips, variety of icing colors, box to take home cupcakes, and fondant
• Light refreshments
• Professional photos of you and your child enjoying the workshop

You Will Need to Bring:

• 6 to 8 pre-baked cupcakes from home to decorate during the workshop (a recommended recipe will be emailed once tickets have been purchased)

Please Note: To ensure every young baker has the support they need, one adult is required for every child in attendance. This 1:1 ratio helps make sure the experience is fun and stress-free for everyone! Each ticket is for a parent & child pair.

About the Cake Decorator

Masooda Rahman has been a cake decorator for a little over 24 years. About 25 years ago she took her first Wilton cake decorating class and fell in love with decorating. Over time what started off as a hobby turned into a successful home business. This passion was recognized by American Cake Decorator Magazine where she was featured in their Fashion Runway cakes edition. In addition to decorating cakes, she was a certified Wilton Cake Decorating Teacher for over 10 years and taught classes to over 1000 students in Bolingbrook and Geneva. She has also studied under some amazing cake teachers, such as Collette Peters.

Through this workshop, her goal is to empower young bakers with foundational techniques and to spark a love for creating sweet memories in the kitchen.

The Details

Where is the workshop being held?

What time should I arrive?

The workshop will begin promptly at 1:30pm. Please arrive 10 minutes early to park, settle in, grab some bites, and get comfortable. 

Where do I park?

There is a parking lot behind the building with access from Park Ave. and there is also street parking. Please do not park in the permit spots.

How old does my child need to be to participate?

Your child must be at least 7 years old to participate.

Do I need to bring anything for this workshop?

Yes! Each person must bring 6-8 pre-baked cupcakes to decorate during the workshops. The cupcakes will not be provided. A recommended recipe will be emailed to you prior to the workshop. You're welcome to bring any flavor of cupcakes.

Do we need any experience with cake decorating or baking?

Not at all! This workshop is beginner-friendly. Masooda will guide you step-by-step and the decorating tools and materials will be provided. You will need to bring 6-8 pre-baked cupcakes per person so you can decorate them during the workshop.

How do I receive photos from the workshop?

The photos will be emailed to you after the event. Make sure to provide the correct email address during registration.

Will food be provided?

Light refreshments will be provided. If you or your child have any allergies or dietary restrictions, please inform us in advance.

Are tickets refundable?

All ticket sales are final and non-refundable. However, if you can no longer attend, you’re welcome to transfer your ticket to someone else. Just let us know in advance so we can update our guest list.

What if I have food allergies or health concerns?

Please notify us of any allergies when purchasing your ticket. While we do our best to accommodate dietary needs, we cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment and are not liable for any allergic reactions.

Is this a safe activity?

All tools and materials will be provided and used under guidance. However, by attending, you acknowledge that you and your child are participating at your own risk. Please handle tools carefully and follow instructions.
