Halloween Samhain Forage & Feast at Farmacy Farm: Fire, Folklore & Fungi with The Barefoot Forager & Bristol Fungarium

Sat 31 Oct 2026 2:30 PM - 7:15 PM Farmacy Farm, Priory Road, East Sussex, RH18 5JE

This Halloween, join us in the Sussex woods as the light goes down.

Forage where the wild things grow. Gather round the fire for a feast from the farm’s own soil. Taste the mushroom. Listen to the trees. Stay until the dark comes in.

Farmacy, The Barefoot Forager and Bristol Fungarium invite you to a Halloween of fire, folklore and fungi on the land. We start with a 1.5 hour guided forage, then gather around the fire pits for a big Farmacy biodynamic feast, a mushroom-led Samhain dinner marking the turning of the season, followed by a reishi tea ceremony and closing storytelling by Silvija of Birch House Rituals.

Come dressed as something from the wild, the folklore or the otherworld, there's a prize for best dressed.

ON THE EVENING YOU WILL:

  • Kick things off with a 1.5 hour guided forage through the woods with Leo of The Barefoot Forager
  • Sit down to a Farmacy biodynamic Samhain feast (vegetarian), with beautiful mushroom table by Bristol Fungarium
  • Take part in a reishi tea ceremony led by Elle of Bristol Fungarium
  • Close the evening with storytelling by Silvija of Birch House Ritual

CHILDRENS ACTIVITIES:

  • Show off their costumes in a Halloween parade, with a certificate for the best costume
  • Get creative with face painting and pumpkin decorating
  • Play pumpkin bowling, Monster Mash freeze dance and a mummy wrap relay

Birch House Rituals: Baltic tree lore, carried in story and song. Silvija comes to the fire to remember our ancestors, the people, the trees and fungi who were here before us.
