Thu 23 Feb 2023 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM MST
Online, Zoom
Description
This is an Online workshop taking place on Feb 23, 6:00-9:00 pm MT.
Cut your fertilizer bills and protect your yields by learning how to catch nitrogen ‘leaks’. Fertilizer is expensive and we know no one wants to spend more than necessary! In this workshop, Kabal Singh from GRO and Karthi Narayanan, Ph.D, from Cropland Solutions Inc. will help you better understand the nitrogen cycle. They’ll explain how to optimize your applications so each crop gets exactly what it needs to thrive and how to incorporate alternative sources of N, like legumes, manure, and compost.
In this training you’ll gain tools to help you:
Improve your bottom line while helping the land at the same time
Become less dependent on inputs and international supply chains
Explore alternative nitrogen sources like manure and cover crops
Level-up your understanding of the nitrogen cycle
You will also gain access to free online courses, resources, access to farmer mentors and also farmer social networks in your area to help you implement these practices on your farm through the FaRM program at www.farmlearninghub.ca.
