Farnham Fireworks and Torchlit Procession 2026
Farnham Fireworks & Torchlit Procession 2026
We’re delighted to welcome you back to the Farnham Fireworks & Torchlit Procession on Saturday 7 November 2026.
The evening begins with our traditional torchlit procession from Waggon Yard, up Castle Street and into Farnham Park. Once in the park, we’ll judge the local school-made Guys, light the bonfire and, of course, finish with our fantastic fireworks display.
There will be entertainment throughout the evening, alongside our food village and bar, with more entertainment continuing after the fireworks.
Tickets and flaming torches are available online only. There will be no ticket sales on the gate, so please book in advance.
Sponsors
Farnham Fireworks is a volunteer-run community event, with all profits going back to local good causes.
We are currently looking for local businesses who would like to support Farnham Fireworks 2026 through sponsorship. If you’d like to get involved and support this much-loved community event, please contact us at fireworks@farnhamroundtable.org.uk.
We’ll add details of our 2026 sponsors here as they are confirmed.

Firework FAQs

How do I purchase a torch?
Once you have selected your tickets, you will be given the option to add a flaming torch to your order. Torches are only available as an add-on to an event ticket and cannot be purchased separately.
You must be 18 or over to carry a flaming torch, and please don’t pass your torch to anyone under 18. Novelties will be available for younger participants.
Torches are strictly limited, so book early if you want to take part in the torchlit procession.
How long do the fireworks last?
The display lasts approximately 15 minutes and is currently scheduled to begin at around 7.45pm.
A professional fireworks company manages the display and puts on a fantastic show for the town.
I’ve lost my child. What should I do?
Please report to the Info Tent near the main entrance as soon as possible.
If your child hasn’t already been found, we will alert our marshals and can make announcements over the PA system. Any lost children found by our team will be brought to the Info Tent.
The event can get very busy and, of course, it will be dark, so please encourage children to stay close to you and, if they do become separated, to find one of our marshals in high-vis clothing.
I’ve got an issue with my ticket. Who do I contact?
Email fireworks@farnhamroundtable.org.uk and we’ll respond as soon as we can.
If you are already at the event and having trouble getting in, speak to one of our gate marshals and they will help where they can.
Does the council run the fireworks?
No. The event is organised by Farnham Round Table and run largely by volunteers from across the local community.
We are supported by groups including Scouts, PTAs, Farnham Youth Choir and 41 Club.
The council reviews our event management plans and helps with use of the park, car parks and road closures, but the event itself is organised and run by volunteers.
Where do I park?
There is no general event parking in Farnham Park.
Please use one of the public car parks in Farnham town centre and walk to the event, or consider using public transport.
Please note that Waggon Yard Car Park will be closed for the torchlit procession.
Whichever option you choose, please park considerately and make sure you don’t block driveways, entrances or access for other vehicles.
Farnham parking information can be found on the Waverley Borough Council website.
What about parking for Blue Badge holders?
We have a limited number of parking spaces in Farnham Park for Blue Badge holders.
These must be booked in advance and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Please email fireworks@farnhamroundtable.org.uk to request a space.
You will need to arrive before 6pm, and because of the road closures you may not be able to leave until approximately 8.45pm.
If you arrive without a reservation, we cannot guarantee that a space will be available.
Is the event suitable for wheelchair users?
Farnham Park is mainly grass and can become muddy, particularly in wet weather. There are some tarmac paths and areas of hard standing, although this does mean wheelchair access to some parts of the event may be limited.
There is also an accessible area around Birdies.
If you have particular accessibility requirements, please email us in advance at fireworks@farnhamroundtable.org.uk.
What about first aid?
First aid will be available throughout the event, with the main first aid point located near the main entrance.
There will also be first aid support available during the procession. If you need assistance, please speak to one of our marshals.
In an emergency, call 999.
Can I bring a pram?
Yes, although please bear in mind that Farnham Park can get very muddy and there are some steep sections.
If you do bring a pram, we recommend one that is suitable for uneven or off-road ground.
Can I bring sparklers?
No. Please do not bring sparklers or your own fireworks into the event.
We don’t have arrangements for their safe use or disposal, and used sparklers can remain extremely hot.
What food and drink will be available?
There will be a range of food and drink available from approximately 5pm until 9pm.
Previous events have included everything from burgers and sausages to Thai food and churros, alongside local beer, mulled wine and other drinks.
The exact 2026 line-up will be confirmed closer to the event.
Where does the money go?
All profits from Farnham Fireworks are distributed back into the local community by Farnham Round Table.
In recent years we have supported everything from sensory gardens and school-trip bursaries to organisations such as Farnham Community Farm and Farnham Youth Choir.
Local community groups that help us run the event also receive donations in recognition of their support.
There are significant costs involved in putting on an event of this size, but we keep those costs down wherever possible thanks to volunteers and the goodwill of the local community.
What happens if the event is cancelled?
If the event has to be cancelled, for example because of severe weather or for safety reasons, we will contact ticket holders as soon as possible with details of the next steps and any options available.
I’ve lost my wallet, phone or something else at the event. What should I do?
During the event, lost property will be taken to the Info Tent.
After the event, please email fireworks@farnhamroundtable.org.uk and we’ll check whether it has been handed in.
How long have the fireworks and procession been running?
Longer than anyone can quite remember!
Farnham has a long history of fireworks and processions, with records going back well into the 19th century. Farnham Round Table has been organising the event since 1976, raising money for local causes while putting on one of the town’s best-loved annual events.
Do you check the bonfire for hedgehogs?
Yes. The bonfire is only built shortly before the event, which greatly reduces the chance of wildlife making a home in it.
I want to enter the Guy competition. What do I do?
Entries are welcomed from local schools, nurseries and community groups.
Please email fireworks@farnhamroundtable.org.uk for more information.
Have you considered a drone display?
We have. At present, the cost of a drone display is prohibitive for an event of our size, but it is something we will continue to keep under review.
How do I get involved in helping with the fireworks?
The event is run by volunteers, and we’re supported by a number of local community groups.
If you’re part of a school, club, charity or other community organisation and would like to help make the fireworks a success, we’d love to hear from you. Email fireworks@farnhamroundtable.org.uk to find out what opportunities are available.
How can I become a member of Farnham Round Table?
Farnham Round Table is a social and community group for men aged 18–45. We meet regularly throughout the year for socials, activities and community projects, and we’re always happy to welcome new members.
