The 'Have-a-Go' Archery Session - Historic Mamluk Archery (Taster - 2 hours)

This is your chance to have a go at 'Historic Mamluk Archery' with Ustadh Hamid, this involves thumb shooting as opposed to the Mediterranean draw. Our Have-a-Go Mamluk Archery lessons are relaxed and a lot of fun. They are suitable for complete beginners, and families are welcome to book together.

The session lasts for 2 hours (you'll get at least an hour of fairly free shooting) and the price includes tuition, equipment hire, and insurance. The sessions are fun and easy-going. Most importantly we will get you shooting safely and (relatively!) accurately by the end of the 2 hours.

We'll introduce you to some expressions used in Mamluk Archery and we'll finish by teaching you how to score and hosting a mini-competition if all archers agree. Lastly, as per the Islamic-Mamluk tradition, the archers will experience congregational partition on the range.

Our session is open to all genders, with ages starting from age 8 and above.

You will also receive a Mamluk 'Have-a-Go' certificate at the end of the session.

Timing: 4:00pm - 6:00pm
