Greece holds a formidable place in the story of wine. For the ancient Greeks, wine was a gift from Dionysus, the god of wine and revelry, and an offering woven deeply into everyday life, culture and mythology.

Much has changed since those ancient times, but over the last two decades Greece has undergone a remarkable wine renaissance. A new generation of talented winemakers has revitalised indigenous grape varieties and traditional regions, producing some of the most exciting and distinctive wines in Europe today. It's time for us to explore a country that tastes of both the ancient and the modern!

Although bordered by North Macedonia, Albania, Turkey and Bulgaria, Greece often feels like a nation shaped as much by the sea as by the land. With more than 6,000 islands and islets scattered across the Aegean and Ionian Seas, maritime influence is never far away. Unsurprisingly, several of these islands will feature prominently in our tasting.

From the mountainous vineyards of the north and central mainland, to the vast Peloponnese peninsula, the volcanic landscapes of the Aegean, and Crete, the country's largest island, Greece offers an extraordinary diversity of terroirs, grape varieties and wine styles. Join us as we journey through one of the world's oldest and most fascinating wine cultures.
