A 12 year girl lives with her choatic dad in an upbeat squat in Gravesend. She meets a peculiar man in a field, and again atop the roof of a housing block.
A realist coming-of-age drama, full of magic and big heart.
Feminist Film Club is a monthly film club for those who love cinema and want to build a community around women-led films in Stoke-on-Trent 🍿✊
We host screenings on the last Thursday of every month, and everyone is welcome to join us. Our screenings take place at The Moony Club (next door to Iceland) at Longton Exchange.
After each screening, we’ll gather for a lively discussion where you can share your thoughts, explore key themes, and delve deeper into the film’s context.
If you’d like more information about this month’s film or have any questions, feel free to reach out to us at feministfilmclubstoke@outlook.com.
Accessibility
Unfortunately, the toilets inside The Moony Club are up two flights of stairs, so they are not wheelchair accessible. However, there are disabled toilets at Tesco, a five-minute walk away, which is open until midnight.
