Join South Yorkshire Migration and Asylum Action Group for a panel discussion with three local activists: Manuchehr Maleki Dizaji (Iran), Maria Vasquez-Aguilar (Chile) and Boucka Koffi(West Africa). For all three, activism in their home countries led to their exile, and all bring that experience to the fight against the ‘hostile environment’ in the UK. Supported by the University of Sheffield’s Migration Research Group, this session will explore the complexity, resonances and value of these experiences.
