STEP BACK IN TIME ON GRIMSBY’S WATERFRONT.
Discover the stories that shaped a town built by the sea on this fascinating guided walk with author and historian Emma Lingard. From medieval Grimsby to the rise of the docks and the people who lived and worked by the water, this tour reveals how the sea has influenced Grimsby’s past right up to the present day.
Expect surprising tales, hidden details, and a fresh perspective on places you may think you already know - you’ll never look at Grimsby’s waterfront the same way again.
Tours run at 11:00am and 1:00pm. Each tour lasts approximately one hour.
Please wear suitable footwear and dress for the weather. You must be able to keep up with a group at an average walking pace. The walk will mainly be on pavements but will include steps and uneven ground. Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

LINGARD’S TOUR
Emma has been leading guided history walks around Lincolnshire for 13+ years. An author, historian and broadcaster she is often called upon for her historic knowledge on local history.
