Join us for an inspiring online event with Stephanie Hafferty, one of the UK’s leading experts in sustainable organic gardening, permaculture and homesteading. She is perfect for ending our Spring season of Water, and bringing in the Summer of Soil, as an award-winning gardener and food writer, edible garden designer, public speaker and educator with over 30 years of practical experience in growing food year-round. Methods using wildlife-friendly no dig, no-less. Her flow-with-the-river approach and down-to-earth ideas help permaculturists at all levels use water effectively and nurture healthy soil to grow more veg and live more sustainably. 

We want to focus on all sizes of gardens and allotments, as well as tackle our current topic of water and bring in the next seasons topic of soil. 

Stephanie will share her wealth of knowledge on organic no dig gardening and small-scale homesteading, bringing her hands-on wisdom into your home. She’s known for translating complex ideas into accessible, practical steps. Whether you’re just starting out or looking to deepen your skills, this talk is packed with actionable insights and inspiration to help you grow food more successfully and sustainably.

Stephanie’s work has been featured on BBC Gardeners’ World and at major gardening events such as RHS Hampton Court, and co-designed the RHS No Dig Allotment Demonstration Garden for RHS Wisley. She regularly teaches workshops and talks across the UK and internationally so it was a no brainer to get her onto our Campfire events. Her commitment to regenerative gardening and homesteading is rooted in decades of real-world experience. She has tended large market gardens and restaurant kitchen gardens, going into develop her own half-acre homestead in rural Wales with regular updates from the plot on YouTube and Instagram. She is currently working on a third book.
