This historic hotel is a beautiful member of The Small Luxury Hotels of the World. It is a true five-Star treat situated on a lovely spot on the Eastbourne seafront.

Thursday 3 December — ten stops

Ten sessions, ten jurisdictions, each one a stop on Santa's sleigh ride. Speakers are travelling to Eastbourne from across Europe, Africa, the Middle East and the United States.

The law is entirely serious. Everything around it is not. There's a wellness session in the afternoon, before the champagne reception and the gala dinner. Dress code: Midwinter Elegance — black tie with a festive twist.

Friday 4 December — the seaside bit

Before anyone sensible is awake, a number of delegates get into the rather cool English Channel. There's a beach clean for those who'd rather stay dry.

The conference sessions finish at approximately 12 noon, with lunch concluding by 3.30pm.
