Session Overview

How do you create intellectual temptation? How can the Formula for Happiness fundamentally change the way you plan your lessons? And how can you use a simple Learning Momentum graph to pinpoint the key issues with your pedagogy? All will be revealed in this thought-provoking session.

Motivation is not something you hope for — it is something you design. Humans are ‘programmed’ to eat, sleep, communicate and learn; the fuel for this innate need to learn is ‘curiosity’. Instead of asking, why is this learner demotivated, ask 'what part of my programme is not generating curiosity?'

This session shows how to create learning experiences that spark curiosity, sustain momentum and make engagement feel natural rather than forced. It challenges you to look beyond “low motivation” and uncover the real barriers hidden in the design of the learning journey.

Takeaways:

  • A practical way to redesign sessions so they build curiosity and momentum
  • A sharper method for spotting what is really causing disengagement, so you can fix it quickly
  • Showcase examples of how to re-energise tired and disaffected learners

Feedback:

"Brilliant delivery and very engaging. Appreciate the lesson and enlightening."
