Jim Kweskin is unquestionably a legendary singer, guitarist and bandleader. He founded the Jim Kweskin Jug Band in 1963. He's been an influence on countless musicians and bands for more than sixty years. He, his friends and bandmates don't do covers. They uncover songs from jazz, folk, dancehall, town, mountain and holler history, and make the tunes dynamic and new. Jim is a brilliant guitarist and an extraordinary treasure. When he offered to play at Fifth Street I dropped the phone in wonder. Jim's bringing some local friends, and we promise a memorable evening.
