DOCS 030 – Short Documentary Competition 2025

We’re excited to invite you to the DOCS 030 – Short Documentary Competition 2025, which we are hosting together with LETsDOK and AG DOK on Saturday, October 11th. An evening dedicated entirely to the art of short documentary filmmaking. 

From 6:30 to 9 PM (incl. a break), we’ll screen this year’s official selection: short documentaries by emerging filmmakers, each bringing a unique perspective and a fresh voice to the screen.

After the screenings, it’s your turn to decide: the audience vote will determine one of the awards. We’ll then celebrate the winners with an award ceremony and a short talk with the filmmakers. The official program ends at 10:30 PM, followed by an open hangout for those who’d like to continue the conversation and connect with fellow filmmakers and film enthusiasts.

This year we received an overwhelming number of submissions, making the selection process both challenging and inspiring. The nominated films represent some of the most exciting new voices in documentary today.
