Learn how to identify and handle archive film and video in this practical, one-day workshop run by London's Screen Archives.
This workshop is designed for archivists, librarians, curators and anyone working in heritage who wants to extend their skills into archive film and video. The workshop will enable participants to learn the core elements of film and video identification, how to handle legacy film and video formats and what to look for when considering acquiring film and video.
At the end of the day, participants will have learnt the main elements needed to identify popular archive film and video formats, developed confidence to safely handle moving image material, and will know what to look for when considering acquiring moving image material for their collection.
