Film London Labs: The Agents Sessions
From the popularity of our previous lab, we're excited to bring The Agents Sessions again this year, to wrap 2026!
If you want to know what’s really going on in the industry, ask an agent. They're right at the coalface of the screen industries, with deep and immediate knowledge of who’s working, what’s selling, and where things are going. Often securing an agent feels like a defining milestone, but what does it take to get there? Before seeking representation, it's important to understand how agents and talent rosters work—what they look for, how they identify emerging talent, and what you can do to raise your profile and get on their radar in the first instance.
This lab is geared towards emerging filmmakers and creatives working to towards a long-form project (from shorts-level) or scaling up. We'll explore the different facets of representation, hearing directly from agents and industry representatives. From working across different creative mediums, to taking a platform-agnostic approach or joining a director's roster in the commercial world, we'll look at how different forms of representation can support creative careers and open up new opportunities.
While this will not be a direct opportunity to seek representation, it offers invaluable insider knowledge on how the industry works and the realities of what to expect when working with an agent or becoming part of a talent roster. Past speakers have included Christian Ogunbanjo (United Agents), Jane Villiers (Sayle Screen), Alex Block (42), Anne DePree (Furlined), Hannah Boulton (The Agency) and Harriet Pennington Legh (Lark Management).
Guest speakers to be announced in the coming weeks.
