Film synopsis:
April 2024. Just two weeks after the attack on a World Central Kitchen aid convoy - which killed seven aid workers including Australian Zomi Frankcom - two Australian doctors from Sydney are among the few internationals granted access into Gaza. Leaving behind their families, Dr. Sanjay Adusumilli and Dr. Siraj Sira enter a world defined by bombardment, displacement, and profound scarcity. Through their eyes, Until the Sky Falls Quiet bears witness to the resilience and humanity of Palestinians living and working under siege. The film captures not only the loss endured, but also the courage and compassion that persist amidst devastation. At its heart, this is a deeply human story - an intimate study of two doctors confronting the limits of medicine and empathy in a collapsing health system. From their fear and anticipation before departure, to the impossible choices they face in Gaza’s overwhelmed hospitals, to the quiet reckoning of their return home, Until the Sky Falls Quiet invites audiences to witness what remains when everything else falls away.
