Seed gathering

Would you like to help us gather tree seeds in the headwaters of the River Findhorn? 

Join us for a volunteering session to gather seed from Alder trees. The seeds we collect will be grown into saplings, and planted back out across the watershed, helping to restore native woodland along our rivers. 

You do not need any prior experience, and all training and equipment will be provided on the day.

Participants will need to bring a packed lunch, and suitable outdoor clothing.

Under 18s to be accompanied by an adult. 

Accessibility

This activity requires walking a short distance (<1km) over rough ground and being comfortable spending 2-3 hours outdoors. There are toilets on site.

We will share the exact meeting point with participants in the run-up to the event. There is no public transport to the meeting point, but we may be able to help with lift shares - get in touch if you'll need a lift, or can offer one!
