There is seagrass in Findhorn Bay

Thu 12 Nov 2026 6:30 PM - 8:00 PM Dyke & District Village Hall, IV36 2TF

Join us for an evening talk exploring the magic of seagrass in Findhorn Bay.

Seagrass is an amazing but lesser-known tidal and sub-tidal habitat which absorbs carbon, supports biodiversity, and helps to protect our coastlines from erosion.

This event includes a short talk from Milo, FNLRT Coastal Restoration Officer, all about this amazing habitat and our new efforts to help restore it.

As part of the event, we’re eager to hear from you, the local communities living around the Bay, as the people who know this place best, about how the ecosystems and movement of the Bay has changed over time, to help inform future restoration planning

Tickets are free, but please register so we can make sure to get enough refreshments for everyone.

This event is part of a partnership project led by the Findhorn, Nairn & Lossie Rivers Trust (FNLRT), with support from Moray Ocean Community (MOC), funded by the Scottish Marine Environmental Enhancement Fund.
