Find Your Midlife Magic

Find Your Midlife Magic will take place at Rudding Park Hotel, Harrogate on Tuesday October 1^st from 9.30am to 5pm.

The day is the brainchild of four women in the public eye: model and fashion event organiser Bernadette Gledhill, model and body image guru Rachel Peru, TV Personality/model Annie Stirk and the Yorkshire TV presenter Christine Talbot. The four good friends felt there was a gap for a safe platform for women, aged 45 and beyond, to get support and information in a fun, inspiring atmosphere as they deal with the myriad of issues related to these decades of life. 

The day will address all issues from mental and physical health to image challenges with beauty and fashion advice, as well as the problems relating to caring responsibilities, grief and ageing. There will be panel discussions and tips on how to be the very best you can be in midlife years.

The former BBC Breakfast TV presenter and writer Louise Minchin has been announced as the keynote speaker at an event which addresses the unique challenges facing midlife women in Yorkshire this year.

Louise, who left the breakfast sofa after 20 years on BBC One, will speak about why she changed her career path in midlife and is now forging a new role as an author, freelance presenter and campaigner, regularly taking on gruelling endurance challenges.

She will be part of a celebrity line-up at the Find Your Midlife Magic event on October 1^st at Rudding Park Hotel in Harrogate, which also features the flamboyant celebrity hairdresser and presenter of Channel Four’s Ten Years Younger, Andrew Barton.

Twice British hairdresser of the Year winner, Rob Eaton will be on hand to help style the winners of a “Stuck In A Rut” makeover competition who will be transformed with a whole new look courtesy of Rob, Andrew and a team of expert make-up artists. The winners will also receive outfits from the Yorkshire based clothing company Joe Browns who will be supporting the event. Our sponsors  include the Harrogate based company Legacy Jewellery who make bespoke items of jewellery from preloved and inherited pieces and SG Petch

Writer Siobhan Daniels, aka Retirement Rebel a retired radio and TV producer who sold her possessions to hit the road in a motorhome will also feature as well as doctor, author and TV medic Dr Jane Gilbert, who will answer questions on health challenges in midlife.

Rudding Park is considered to be one of the best places to dine in Harrogate, so our guests are in for a treat. The ticket price includes a welcome drink,  refreshments throughout the day and a delicious buffet style lunch.
