Pathfinder: Shakeout Run Club | Origin x Finisterre

Welcome to Pathfinder, a new series exploring the connection between speciality coffee and the outdoors.

Each Pathfinder event will be held in partnership with our friends at our local club, making up the miles together and ending with a coffee.

First up, we're joined by Shakeout Run Club. Their run leaders will take you on a 8km loop of local trails and coast path, starting and finishing at Origin’s roastery in Porthleven, Cornwall. It’s a social run, not a race. Leaders will be at the front and back, and we’ll regroup along the way so nobody gets left behind. Spaces are limited to 30 runners.

Back at the Origin Coffee Roastery, warm up with a complimentary coffee. Everyone who runs gets a pair of Finisterre Crew socks, plus an exclusive discount from both of us.

About Shakeout Run Club

Before you run

• Sign the waiver: after booking, you’ll be sent a link to Shakeout’s waiver. Please sign it and add an emergency contact before 15 November. You can’t run without it.
• Arrive by 9:00am for check-in and a short safety briefing.
• View the route: see the 8km loop on Strava.
• Tell us about medical conditions: if you have one, let a leader know privately on the day.
• What to wear: trail shoes if you have them, as paths can be muddy and uneven. Dress for the weather.
• Weather: if conditions turn, we may shorten or change the route. We’ll let you know in advance if anything changes.

Taking part is at your own risk, so please only book if you’re comfortable running 8km on uneven trail and coast path. All runners must be 18 or over and follow the run leaders’ instructions on the day. Photos and video will be taken during the event and may be used by Origin Coffee, Finisterre and Shakeout Run Club. If you’d rather not be photographed, just let a leader know at check-in. Your booking details will be shared with Shakeout Run Club to manage waivers and emergency contacts. If you can no longer make it, please cancel your ticket so we can offer your place to someone else.
