Come one, come all, gather close and imagine that you were seated in a great lord’s great hall some 700 or more years ago. Full from feasting, you sup from a silver cup; drawing ever closer to the bright, blazing fire, banishing the chill night air, whilst the fragrant wood smoke fills your nostrils and puts you at your ease. And now all grows quiet as the storyteller; the keeper of the old tales begins to ply his trade...

The Yarnsmith is joining us for a second year in the Fire & Feast Tipi! Come  along for an evening of warming comfort food and more tall tales, this time he will be regaling us with Gawain and the Green Knight & Other Medieval Winter Tales. Enjoy a three course supper based on local seasonal produce, provided by the Fire and Feast Team. Guests will have a choice of two dishes for each course, including vegetarian options using local produce, prepared by the Fire and Feast Team. 

 The evening will begin with a complimentary Gin Cocktail from Fishers Gin. A selection of alcoholic and soft drinks will be available to purchase on the evening. After supper be entertained with Tavern Yard Tales around the fire from Dave Tonge, the Yarnsmith of Norwich.

 Dave Tonge, the Yarnsmith of Norwich will be telling stories of loathly ladies, of crooked roads and twisted trees and of a strange barefoot stranger who smiles but not with his eyes. An uninvited guest bearing both a holly bough and an axe - A story that is as black as blood upon a moonless night, yet still a tale that will bring warmth to even the coldest of a winter hearts!

This event will be held in the Fire and Feast Tipi which we put up inside our campers barn from mid October so you can experience all of the cosy atmosphere with none of the Autumn chill! However we still recommend you come with some warm layers for later in the evening.

Please Note: We are unable to accept cancellations of tickets from two weeks before the event, however if your plans change we are happy to try and resell the tickets after this point. The event will go ahead regardless of weather conditions unless these become dangerous.
