DESCRIPTION
First Aid for Life and FirstAidforPets.net is an Award Winning and fully regulated training business providing pet first aid to the very highest standard in line with the veterinary care act and RECOVER guidance 2012.
Our Pet First Aid course is 3 hours and covers how to care for unconscious dogs and cats as well as commonly occurring injuries and illnesses including choking, bleeding, fitting, poisoning and much more.
Our highly acclaimed pet first aid is run in small groups, with hands-on experience using our dog and cat mannequins to practise CPR, recovery position, choking, bandaging and other essential pet first aid techniques. While we will be focusing on first aid for dogs and cats you will be able to refer to first aid for other common household pets. All participants will achieve a recognised Certificate and the course qualifies for verifiable CPD. The course is designed both for pet owners and those working with pets to ensure that you have the skills and confidence to provide appropriate first aid in those initial vital minutes following an accident.
Please note that our venue is not set up for your pets to attend with you. If you would prefer to have your pet with you on the course, we recommend you organise a bespoke course with a group of friends at one of your homes and we would be delighted to come and teach with your pets present.
This course will be held at one of our Balham venues, within 5 mins from Balham station - we will notify you of the exact venue well in advance of the course the course is usually held at Balham Scout Hall and runs from 9:00 to 12:00.
