Enjoying the Holy Spirit

Everyone is looking for "real life." We all aim to transcend routine, boredom, disappointment, and emptiness, whether through adventure, through success, through relationships, or through pleasures. In fact, the only life that really transcends these limitations is the eternal life that God offers us in the Gospel of Christ. This kind of life comes from the Holy Spirit.

Christians "live by the Spirit" and aim to "keep in step with the Spirit" (Galatians 5:25). We seek to bear "the fruit of the Spirit" (Galatians 5:22), and to "set our minds on the Spirit" (Romans 8:6).

To live the Christian life, we need to know the Holy Spirit. That is the goal of this year's Silicon Valley Bible Conference.

Our Speaker

Ryan McGraw is Professor of Systematic Theology at Greenville Presbyterian Theological Seminary. He is also a former pastor of First OPC Sunnyvale. Ryan and his wife Krista have four children. Ryan has written academic books on John Owen and Charles Hodge. He has also written edifying books for the church at large, including A Mystery Revealed: 31 Meditations on the Trinity and What is Covenant Theology?

Friday Teens Night: Not in Vain

Teens are invited on Friday, November 7 at 6:30pm for a fun evening hearing from God's Word. The theme will be "Not in Vain: Work and Your Relationship with God." There will be talks and interviews to inspire and encourage. There will also be snacks and boba tea. Check out the registration page.

Sunday, November 8

Dr. McGraw will be with us over the weekend. He will bring God's word at our Adult Sunday School class (9:45am) and at our morning worship service (11:00am). Everyone is welcome!

Childcare

Families with children are welcome to attend the conference. There is a nursery and a changing room for the use of mothers with children up to age 3. The nursery will not be supervised.
