Introduction to Selling online - Digital Skills Workshop

This classroom style workshop is for people with basic digital skills who want to start selling things online. Volunteer Toni will compare some of the various platforms available (eBay, Vinted, Depop, Etsy, FaceBook Marketplace, Gumtree, Freecycle, Vintage Cash Cow) and talk about how we can use them. This will be a general interest workshop about the type of things you should consider through the sales cycle, such as photography,  timing, auctions vs. buy it now, postage and packaging, collecting, payments with Paypal, personal safety if goods are being collected, and some general caveats, as well as lots of positive hints and tips. There will be a demonstration of how to create a sales listing and there will be plenty of time for questions.  

Doors will open at 9.45 and we will start at 10am and finish by 12.30 with a short break at around 11.15. Self service refreshments will be available.  Stephens House and Gardens,17 East End Road, Finchley, London N3 3QE is fully accessible, close to bus routes and with a few car-parking spaces available on site and some free parking on the opposite side of the road.

This will be our first workshop on this subject.
