We are having an Open Day! Come and get stuck into a variety of different repair activities, hear how things work from the Fixing Factory experts, and enjoy free refreshments in a relaxed and friendly setting.
Ever wondered what's inside your toaster?
Want to learn the basics of repair, or find out how you can get broken items fixed for free locally?
Interested in saving money, reducing waste and learn new skills?
Families and individuals welcome to our Haringey Fixing Factory Open Day. No repair experience needed - we welcome complete beginners!
What to expect:
- Repair service: Bring along an item and have it fixed by skilled volunteers (slots limited, first come first served).
- Free repair workshops: From simple repair demos to rewiring a plug, these sessions are suitable for complete beginners, including children over 8yrs if accompanied by an adult.
- Model-making from salvaged electronic waste: Turn e-waste into art in our creative model-making sessions, suitable for children aged 8+ (if accompanied by an adult) and adults.
- Opportunity to hear about the Fixing Factory and how you can get involved.
The Open Day will be facilitated by experienced volunteers and our Fixing Factory workshop manager, guiding guests through each station to ensure maximum enjoyment.
Please note, the Haringey Fixing Factory unfortunately does not have step-free access. If you'd like to attend one of our activities but can't access step-free spaces, please do get in touch with our workshop manager Isaac at isaac.winson@wearepossible.org, and we'll direct you to other suitable activities.
