Repair Drop-Off at Haringey Fixing Factory

Drop-off your broken household electricals at Haringey Fixing Factory and have them fixed for you by our skilled volunteers.

Got a broken household electrical item? Bring it along to your local Fixing Factory, where skilled local volunteers will try to repair it as part of their mission to minimise e-waste and continue to develop their repair knowledge and skills.

This service is a supplement to our free Community Repair sessions each Saturday. Repair Drop-Offs are perfect for you if you don't have time to wait around or can't attend on Saturdays.

Items can be dropped off on 

• Tuesdays 18:30 - 21:30
• Saturdays 10:30 -12:30

Book a slot and we'll be there to collect your item. 

We'll charge a non-refundable fee to assess and do our best to fix your item (fees vary depending on the item). Not all items can be fixed, but we're a determined bunch and will let you know if your item is beyond repair. Every pound raised goes towards supporting our non-profit community repair hub. 

We ask for 4 - 8 weeks to process your item (dependent on the item). If parts are required we will liaise with you about proceeding with the fix and sourcing these. Cost of any parts would be additional to the repair drop off fee.

In order to repair an item legally, we need to check that it has a CE or UKCA mark on the body of the item. To avoid disappointment, please check that your item carries this marking before bringing it along. If you’re not sure, you can still bring your item along but be prepared that we may not be able to fix it or refund your booking fee if it doesn’t meet legal requirements for safe electronic items.

Refunds and cancellations

Bookings are only refundable up until a week before the event. After that point they are non-refundable. This is because we are a charity and need to pay our staff and facilitators/fixers to run events, so we lose charitable income from last-minute cancellations. It may be possible to reschedule your booking, but this is entirely at the workshop manager's discretion and may depend on overall numbers and availability for the particular workshop.
