Community Repair at Victoria

By paying the £5.00 fee you reserve a guaranteed slot at Community Repair in advance. However Community Repair is completely free, you can just turn up without booking a slot and wait your turn!

Come join us for a day of fixing, mending, and repairing at Victoria Fixing Factory! Whether you have a broken toaster, hairdryer or air fryer our team of skilled volunteers will be on hand to help you out. It's a great opportunity to learn new skills, meet your neighbours, and reduce waste by giving your items a second life. Don't throw it away - fix it!

At Community Repair you’ll work one-on-one with a Fixing Factory Fixer to inspect, diagnose, and repair your beloved item. No prior experience is needed, but a curiosity and willingness to learn is essential.

We ask that you stay and work with us for the duration of your repair; we cannot accept items dropped off for repair.

We offer a few booked slots alongside operating on a first come, first serve basis.

Arrive with plenty of time for your repair - we recommend you allow at least 45 minutes but some repairs can take a few hours and run over multiple sessions.

There is no charge for this service, however donations of any amount are greatly appreciated. To share our skills with as many people as possible we kindly ask that you only bring one item for repair to each session.

In order to repair an item legally, we need to check that it has a CE or UKCA mark on the body of the item. To avoid disappointment, please check that your item carries this marking before bringing it along. If you’re not sure, you can still bring your item along but be prepared that we may not be able to fix it or refund your booking fee if it doesn’t meet legal requirements for safe electronic items.
