PizzaExpress in Northampton is the latest venue to welcome Flamingo Jazz Nights.

PizzaExpress (PizzaExpress Live) is synonymous with live jazz in London, and I’m delighted that the newly refurbished Northampton restaurant now hosts Flamingo Jazz Nights!

Similar to The Lamplighter, the jazz nights take place upstairs in a private space that can comfortably accommodate a quintet.

Pizza and jazz - what's not to like!

Accessibility: The jazz nights at this venue take place upstairs and are accessible by stairs only, owing to the age and structure of the building. Step-free access is not available. I recognise that not all venues are fully accessible. For this reason, the main jazz nights are held at The Sun Inn, where accessible facilities are available and assistance can be provided to support access to the venue. If you would like to discuss access requirements, seating, or need assistance in choosing a suitable event, please get in touch. I will always do my best to make reasonable adjustments so that everyone can enjoy live jazz.

Fugue & Groove is a dynamic piano-led trio that blends the energy of jazz with the elegance of classical music. Their distinctive sound brings together inventive improvisation and refined musicianship, transforming familiar works by composers such as Massenet, Bach, and Dvořák into vibrant new interpretations alongside original high-energy arrangements.

At the heart of every performance is spontaneity. Their name reflects their musical identity: “Fugue” represents the structure and craftsmanship of the classical tradition, while “Groove” captures the rhythm, freedom, and excitement of jazz. Together, these elements create a concert experience that is imaginative, engaging, and thoroughly entertaining.

The trio’s members have performed alongside acclaimed artists including Alex Clarke, Greg Abate, Ray Gelato, Kenny Ball, Bobby Wellins, King Pleasure and the Biscuit Boys, Idina Menzel, and Dave Stewart. Drawing on this wealth of experience, they bring exceptional musicianship and stage presence to every performance.

Already attracting enthusiastic audiences across the UK, Fugue & Groove is rapidly becoming a favourite with festivals, venues, and promoters looking for a show that feels both fresh and familiar.
