About The Sun Inn
The Sun Inn is a beloved gastro pub nestled in the suburban village of Hardingstone. Established in 1850, it embodies the essence of a classic English pub, offering a warm and inviting atmosphere for locals and visitors alike.
The Barn, which adjoins the pub, offers a private and cosy setting for the jazz nights. It features its own private bar and toilets - separate from the main pub, ensuring an exclusive and comfortable atmosphere for guests to enjoy live jazz.
Accessibility: The main pub is wheelchair accessible and has accessible toilet facilities. The jazz nights take place on the ground floor of the adjoining building (The Barn), which has a step at the entrance. Assistance and reasonable adjustments can be arranged where possible. If you have access requirements, please get in touch before booking and we will be happy to discuss arrangements and provide support on arrival.
About The Kieran Matthews Trio
Following many years of individual success on the Midlands jazz scene, this dynamic trio has recently come together to explore the classic jazz guitar tradition they all share a passion for. Bringing their own distinctive musical voices, they draw inspiration from legends including Wes Montgomery, Grant Green, George Benson, Barney Kessel, Joe Pass, and John Scofield.
With a focus on tight ensemble playing, infectious swing, and expressive improvisation, the trio creates a compelling musical journey, telling the story as one ensemble.
