Explore Careers and Concepts in Business and Tourism while you solve an SPE-ICE session with Destination Toronto Staff. Facilitated by our expert team,  your students will get to learn about:

a. What it takes to build a career in Business or Tourism

b. How Tourism as a Business is one of our Biggest market opportuntiies

c. Explore a Tourism  business

d. Hear from Destination Toronto Staff

e. Solve an SPE-ICE and participate in a challenge that can lead to our SHSM finals

What's Included?

• Sector Partner Experience (SPE) with one of Flashpoint's trusted Sector Partners - Destination Toronto;
• SPE Area of Focus: Innovation Challenge Session (ICS) . The content and learning objectives of Flashpoint's ICS remain the same using the three connected concepts of creativity, innovation and entrepreneurship. 
• Optional pre & post ICS work (online)
• Online ICS for students who were registered but missed the field trip;
• Admission to one of the following destinations:
  • CN Tower
  • Ripley's Aquarium
• A pizza lunch, including a selection of beverage
• Access to one bonus online certification of your choice:

1. Group Dynamics
2. Ergonomics and Safe Lifting
3. Communication
4. Customer Service

Your Schedule for the Day

9:30 AM | Arrival

10:00 AM | Welcome and Introduction to ICE

10:30 AM | Sector Partner Career Talk

11:00 | Student Project Work Begins

 12:30 PM | Presentations

  1:15 PM | End of Programming/See attractions

 Then attendance at event

Our Event Policies

👥 Student Numbers: Register your expected attendance. Student substitutions are welcome, but additional students require advance approval. 

⏰ Deadline for Changes: Attendance numbers can be adjusted up to 3 weeks before the event. After that event numbers are "locked-in" as the kids say.

💰 Payment: Payment for Events is due a min of 30 days before the Event or we will not hold your reservation

🚌 Scheduling: We’ll do our best to accommodate your bus schedule. Please let us know about any timing requirements as early as possible.

📅 Event Dates: Dates may change based on partner availability. Final details will be confirmed at least 1 month before your visit.

🌦️ Weather Closures: Events affected by weather or unexpected school closures will be rescheduled.

🙋 Supervision: Please provide the required number of staff/chaperones according to your school board’s guidelines.

💻 No-Shows: Absent students will be charged the full event fee but may access a complimentary online training session for the same certification.
