Flashpoint Training is excited to welcome you to the Toronto Zoo. Our facilitators, along with Toronto Zoo staff, will ensure your students have opportunities to participate in our mixed-media and diverse learning techniques. Students will be actively involved in various games, activities, and exercises, providing different avenues for learning.

What's Included?

• Face-to-Face SPE-ICE with our SHSM sector partner the Toronto Zoo;
• Admission to the Toronto Zoo;
• Optional pre & post ICE work (online);
• Online ICE for students who were registered but missed the field trip;
• A pizza lunch, including a selection of canned beverages; and 
• Access to one bonus online certification of your choice:

10:00 AM | Welcome and Intro to Innovation, Creativity and Entrepreneurship

10:30 AM | Sector Partner Career Talk

11:00 AM | SPE-Project Work

12:00 PM | Working Lunch

 12:30 PM | Presentations

 1:30 PM | End of Programming

 2:00 PM | FREE Time to explore the Toronto Zoo

Flashpoint Training strongly recommends that you allocate time at the end our formal programming to explore the Toronto Zoo. Free time to explore the zoo can not be accommodated between 10:00 AM and 1:300 PM.

 4:30 PM | Zoo Closes

Our Event Policies

👥 Student Numbers: Register your expected attendance. Student substitutions are welcome, but additional students require advance approval. 

⏰ Deadline for Changes: Attendance numbers can be adjusted up to 3 weeks before the event. After that event numbers are "locked-in" as the kids say.

💰 Payment: Payment for Events is due a min of 30 days before the Event or we will not hold your reservation

🚌 Scheduling: We’ll do our best to accommodate your bus schedule. Please let us know about any timing requirements as early as possible.

📅 Event Dates: Dates may change based on partner availability. Final details will be confirmed at least 1 month before your visit.

🌦️ Weather Closures: Events affected by weather or unexpected school closures will be rescheduled.

🙋 Supervision: Please provide the required number of staff/chaperones according to your school board’s guidelines.

💻 No-Shows: Absent students will be charged the full event fee but may access a complimentary online training session for the same certification.
