SHSM Career Day: Toronto Blue Jays
SPE Certification, Career Exploration & Toronto Blue Jays Game
Flashpoint Training is excited to bring SHSM students together for a unique SPE Career Exploration Day followed by a Toronto Blue Jays game!
Designed to work for students from all SHSM sectors, this experience combines in-person SPE programming, career exploration with professionals from the CARE Foundation, and an afternoon at the ballpark.
Students will begin their day with Flashpoint Training's in-person SPE certification, exploring essential workplace skills while connecting their own strengths, interests and experiences to the expectations of today's workplace.
Over lunch, students will hear from representatives from the CARE Foundation for an interactive career talk focused on career pathways, employability, community involvement and the transferable skills that matter across industries. Students will have an opportunity to hear directly from professionals, ask questions and consider how their SHSM experience can help prepare them for their next steps.
Then it's time for the game!

Students will complete their SPE requirements while exploring the skills that matter across industries, hear directly from professionals about careers and employment, and finish the experience by attending a Toronto Blue Jays game.
It's an opportunity to help students see that career development isn't limited to one occupation or sector. Communication, teamwork, adaptability, problem-solving, professionalism and relationship-building travel with them wherever their career takes them.
