Give it a Go: Painting with Sophie McKay Knight

Always fancied trying your hand at painting? This is your chance to give it a go!

Join experienced Flavours art tutor Sophie McKay Knight for a relaxed and creative day at Home Grown in Marylebone, designed especially for complete beginners.

Sophie will guide us through the day, introducing some of the basics of painting and showing you how to approach a blank page with confidence. The day will be split into two relaxed creative sessions, with lunch together at Home Grown in between – giving everyone plenty of time to chat and get to know fellow Amici too.

Who is it for?

Complete beginners! You don’t need to think of yourself as artistic or have picked up a paintbrush before. If painting is something you’ve always fancied trying, Give it a Go is the perfect place to start.

What should I bring?

Just bring yourself and a willingness to have a go. We’ll provide everything you need to paint on the day, so there’s no need to buy or bring any art materials.

What will I learn?

Sophie will introduce you to some of the fundamentals of painting, including composition, colour and technique, with plenty of encouragement and individual guidance along the way.

There’s no pressure to create a masterpiece. The idea is to learn something new, enjoy being creative and leave with the confidence to pick up a paintbrush again – and perhaps discover a new hobby in the process.
