Ever heard of T9? Used a BlackBerry? Remember the noise your computer made when it was trying to connect to the internet and sounded like it was communicating with another planet? If yes, come for the nostalgia. If not, come and find out what the rest of us had to survive.
For one day only, the ZYMIX Social Media Museum is taking over Piccadilly and turning the history of communication into something you can actually get involved in, from handwritten letters and postcards to early mobiles, BlackBerrys, texting, social media and the always-online world we live in now.
Write a letter, try T9 without losing your mind, get your hands on the tech that came before the touchscreen and discover what connecting with someone looked like before Wi-Fi, DMs and 99+ notifications became completely normal.
Taking place at Piccadilly Lights for one day only, this is a unique opportunity to step into the history of communication in one of the most connected and recognisable locations in London.
