Flidais Retreat: A Women's ADHD Wellbeing Weekend
Share this event
Spend a soulful weekend on the edge of the Cairngorms, unwinding, recharging and connecting.
Our restorative Flidais Retreat (pronounced flee-ish) has been thoughtfully designed with ADHD Woman's Wellbeing in mind to offer you a gentle weekend of calm and clarity. We're inviting you to allow time for wellbeing: to get out in nature and connect with other ADHD women.
Whether its through shared understanding amongst like-minded ADHDers, or a solo trek through the forest, followed by a sauna session; we aspire for this weekend to leave you feeling grounded, restored and inspired.
Across three nights and two full days our group will experience a varied programme of activities*, including:
- ADHD group discussions / coaching
- Wellness and growth activities
- Creative activities
- Nature Walks
- Sauna time
- Quiet time for reflection and relaxation
*All activities are completely opt-in. This is your time!
Who is the retreat for?
We have designed this retreat for women who are experiencing ADHD characteristics, whether they have a diagnosis or not. If you know you have ADHD, if you have a strong suspicion that ADHD may be a big feature in your life, or if you think you have a lot of ADHD characteristics but don't necessarily meet criteria for a diagnosis, you are more than welcome.

Accommodation
We will be staying at the Railway Rooms, a beautifully converted Victorian railway station right beside Kingussie train station. Kingussie is a charming, quiet town on the River Spey in the Cairngorms National Park. It offers the perfect balance: easy to reach from across Scotland and beyond, yet surrounded by open Highland landscape, fresh air, and walking routes. All rooms are modern twin or double rooms, all featuring en suite bathrooms. You can:
- Book a private room to yourself
- Book as a pair and share with a friend
- Choose to share with another participant (we’ll pair you up with a roommate)
The Railway Rooms offers a large open-plan living space, featuring a toasty wood burning stove, where we’ll gather, relax, and spend time together throughout the weekend.
Accessibility
There are eight ground floor bedrooms, one with a wheelchair accessible shower, for participants with reduced mobility. Please just let us know if you require one of these rooms in the notes when booking.
Getting there
Kingussie is easily accessible by train and car. There are several trains per day from all the Scottish cities, and one direct train from London (the LNER service). If you’re driving, Kingussie is accessed via the A9 (just be aware of the average speed cameras). Who is running the retreat?

Lucy Thompson is a certified ADHD Life Coach who works almost exclusively with late-diagnosed women or women suspecting they have ADHD in adulthood. She has a thirty year career as a research psychologist specialising in early child development and parenting support. Shifting this into a part time occupation to allow her to build her coaching and public speaking business has been transformational in helping her reach her true potential.

Eva Wullich is a community wellbeing facilitator and events professional with a passion for creating spaces that foster connection, self-reflection, and emotional safety. She works within person-centred care, placing compassion, creativity and curiosity at the heart of her approach. She is the founder of Enlightened Connections; an initiative focused on inspiring personal growth through meaningful and shared experiences.
When we connected at one of Lucy’s public speaking events, we soon realised we shared the same goal: to redefine wellbeing for women with ADHD. To release shame and design a retreat based on prioritising rest and authenticity.
We’ve built this experience together from the ground up, and we can't wait to welcome you this September ✨
Why 'Flidais'?
We have taken inspiration for our name from ‘Flidais’, the “Lady of the Forest” in Celtic mythology. Sometimes interpreted as “she of the woods,” Flidais (pronounced flee-ish) was known for balancing her wild, untamed side with her fiercely nurturing nature. Said to be one of the Tuatha Dé Danann, Ireland’s pre-Christian deities, she was remembered as a protector of the trees and wild animals, and as a figure deeply connected to the land.
Often described as a shape-shifter and deeply attuned to the rhythms of the natural world, Flidais embodies the strength to move through life’s changing seasons with self-trust instead of guilt, and confidence instead of shame.
We were drawn to what her name evokes, a feeling we hope this retreat offers you as well: a grounded connection to nature, a rediscovery of balance through quiet resilience, and a return to something steady, familiar, and rooted within yourself.
