Avoiding flying for school trips is one of the most effective ways for schools to keep emissions down and reach climate targets. Flight Free UK's new scheme, Flight Free Schools, works with schools to help them remove or reduce the use of air travel for school trips.

This event will explain what the scheme is, how it works, and the practicalities of taking flight-free trips.

It is aimed at staff who take a lead on sustainability at schools across the UK, those who work with schools on sustainability projects, and anyone who is interested in sustainability in education.

We will be recording the event, so if you can't make it, please register anyway and you'll be sent the recording link.

Speakers:

  • Anna Hughes, director of Flight Free UK
  • Chris Graham, Sustainability Lead at Hills Road Sixth Form College in Cambridge
  • A representative from the travel industry who has experience of running flight-free school trips
  • Paul Turner from the Ministry of Eco-Education

Hosted by Flight Free UK and the Ministry of Eco-Education
