The Proposal

First performed in 2019, Flying Boar Productions are back with The Proposal, a play by seminal Russian writer and dramatist Anton Chekhov, best known for his major plays like The Seagull and The Cherry Orchard.

The Proposal is a one-act farce satirizing class life in Russia at the end of the 1800's.

Fast-paced and anarchic, three characters petulantly bicker around and about each other whilst artfully sending up the age-old institutions of marriage and land ownership.

Staged at a wonderful little venue in Wedding, with a fully stocked bar.
