Best selling author and freelance cheesemonger Ned Palmer began his career twenty-five years ago at London’s Borough Market before moving on to the great British cheese shop Neal’s Yard Dairy. He set up The Cheese Tasting Company in 2014 to champion ‘proper good cheese’. His first book, A Cheesemonger’s History of the British Isles (2019) was a Sunday Times bestseller and his latest, A Cheesemonger’s Tour de France (2024) won the John Avery prize at the André Simon awards in 2024. At Clifton Lit Fest, Ned will be telling stories about the history and culture of over six thousands years of British cheesemaking, with the help of a selection of delicious artisan and farmhouse cheeses from Cotham Cheese Co and a glass of wine from DBM wines. |
