Katherine Denkinson with Eleanor Grant: Angry Young Men: Understanding & Challenging the Manosphere’s Influence

Katherine Denkinson is an investigative journalist whose work focuses on misinformation, the far right, and online culture. Prior to journalism, she spent fifteen years working in mental health and education with both vulnerable young people, learning disabled adults, and convicted sex offenders. Many of the young men she encountered held disturbing opinions of women but, while the online world dismissed them as incels, it was her job to listen and to challenge those beliefs in a way which they could understand.

Those experiences, coupled with years of research and interviews culminated in her book, Incel: The Weaponisation of Misogyny, which offers a new understanding of what draws young men into the manosphere, why the media can sometimes do more harm than good, and how to effectively challenge these beliefs in our sons.
