SUNDAY EVENING MUSIC! The Shrinks: Where the Mississippi Meets the Avon

We are delighted to end 2026 LitFest with an evening with the ever popular Shrinks - our much-loved local legends and England’s foremost exponents of ‘Avonicana’, that unique musical genre born where the mighty Mississippi finally gets acquainted with the muddy Avon.

Part Delta blues, part Bristol bounce, with perhaps a little Clifton rock ‘n’ roll thrown in, The Shrinks prove that you don’t need to be anywhere near New Orleans to find the blues - although you may need to cross the Suspension Bridge to get to them.

So, after three days of books, ideas and serious conversation, it’s time to let our hair down, raise a glass and have a bit of a dance. It’s our traditional Litfest thank-you to all our wonderful volunteers, speakers, supporters and audiences - and there’s no better way to end than with a band who bring a little Mississippi magic to the Avon.
