Creating interview-based podcasts can provide meaningful ways to invite community members into schools and deepen relationships in classrooms! Students’ engagement in interviewing and audio production can be propelled by the motivation to produce, publish, and share final works of original audio for the world to hear and celebrate.

This session examines how to prepare to work with students to identify possible interviewees; to understand and embody the practices of ethical journalism; and to begin to learn how to record, edit, and publish insightful interviews that feature voices from across communities.
