The Aurora Ball — FOPLSS 50th Anniversary

Saturday 20 March 2027 · De Vere Cranage Estate, Cheshire

Join us for The Aurora Ball — a landmark evening celebrating 50 years of Friends of Park Lane Special School (FOPLSS) and raising funds for the next chapter of its story.

Park Lane Special School in Macclesfield supports around 150 pupils aged 2–19 with profound and complex needs. For half a century, FOPLSS has stood alongside its families — fundraising, advocating, and making the extraordinary possible. This evening marks that milestone and looks forward to what comes next.

Tickets
🎟 Early Bird: £70 per person — on sale until 30 September 2026
🎟 Standard: £75 per person — from 1 October 2026

Tables of 12 are available for corporate and group bookings. Half-bottles of wine are available to add at checkout.

All proceeds go to FOPLSS (Charity No. 1006563) in support of Park Lane Special School.

The Evening
Guests will enjoy a Starlight Reception with red carpet arrival and a glass of bubbles, followed by a three-course dinner, a formal programme built around the three pillars of Light, Journey and Resilience, a live and silent auction, the Dark Balloon Raffle, and dancing into the night. Overnight accommodation is available at the venue for those wishing to stay – bookable with Cranage Hall, by quoting FOPLSS; a small donation is received by FOPLSS for each room.

#Shadows2Giants
Running alongside the 50th anniversary celebrations is the #Shadows2Giants campaign, FOPLSS flagship fundraising event — Park Lane’s own PE Lead and Teacher Oliver Naylor, and retired endurance athlete Brett Jarman, are preparing to compete in the Himalayan XTri in Nepal in May 2027: a 3.5km swim, 165km cycle, and 43km run-hike to altitudes of up to 4,000m — raising money towards a target of £100,000 for two mobile sensory rooms and a sensory path at Park Lane Special School.

Accommodation
Up to 150 rooms are available at De Vere Cranage Estate for guests staying overnight. Book directly with the venue and quote FOPLSS.
