Summer Forest Holiday Club - 10th-12th August

Does your child love the outdoors? If so, our holiday club is perfect for them.

We will be taking part in lots of different forest activities each day including crafts, games and free play.

There is also the opportunity to learn more about the forest, develop bush craft skills - activities may include fires, shelters, using tools, knot work, cooking on the fire and much more.

Suitable for 6-12 year olds.

Refreshments and snacks provided. Fire snacks may include - popcorn, pancakes, marshmallows, s'mores, pizza wraps or hot dogs. We do however ask that you please provide your child with a full packed lunch.

A ranger will meet you at the car park 8.55am to sign the children in. We will then walk the group to the new site to start the day. We will return to the car park by 4pm to meet parents to sign out. 

You will be sent a parental consent form via email nearer to the time, please return your completed form via email before the day of your booking.

All dates for our holiday club will go ahead whatever the weather and all events are non-refundable. Sessions will only be cancelled in high winds, a full refund will be given should this occur. We will contact you as soon as we know should this be the case.

All Forest Explorers staff have fully enhanced DBS checks, the leaders are outdoor first aid trained with an emphasis on child first aid, all staff are experienced in teaching, the outdoors or survival and some staff are Forest School level 3 trained.

Our holiday club mostly takes place outdoors so outdoor clothing is required whatever the weather. Waterproof jacket, boots or wellies, long sleeved trousers and tops are essential even in hot weather due to brambles, nettles and biting insects (waterproof trousers are also recommended). Insect repellent and sun cream may be necessary. We do have outdoor shelters but children MUST wear appropriate outdoor clothing.

 To access the car park, please drive up the main drive, continue until you come to an open gate. Drive through the gate and the car park is on the right hand side (do not turn off at any point on the drive until you get to our gate).
