Frequent Asked Questions (with fun sprinkles):

Q: what should I bring?

A: A bottle of water and be open to make friends and have fun. No need to bring smiles if you are kind of out of them, we have plenty for you

Q: How should I dress?

A: Be free, there's no dress code, but Forró is very casual, so you can dress comfortably: soft dress, jeans, shorts, t-shirts. We highly recommend low profile shoes (no heels) because of the moves. Also, we do turns and spins, so that might be good info depending on dress/skirt option.

Q: Parking?

A:we got you. There's free parking with on premises.

Q: I haven't taken a shower in 3 days, and played 2 matches of rugby it's that fine?

A: Brazilian culture values personal hygiene and v everyone that will be around you and dancing with you will appreciate if you are smelling good, with clean clothes and fresh breath. You would too, right? In any case we have free mints, deodorant and other goodies available every class.

Q: How's the vibe?
A: Forró is super relaxed. Imagine it is more like a group of friends getting together to dance, almost like a team, but dance in individual pairs. Meaning: everybody help each other and gets happy with each others progression, but also don't mind if people take shorter or longer to progress, that is not the point. The point is to enjoy the journey. There should be no competition and everyone should be friendly to those beginning or struggling.

Despite being a dance that's up-close, it is just a dance and our Code of Conduct and support documents make it very clear what is unacceptable. If you are by any means joining this with main intentions of "getting lucky" or dating, you better read that carefully before attending.

Forró is like a family: we take care and protect ourselves against misconduct.

What if I decide to continue with classes?

Q: what level should I go for?

A: Depending on how you perform and feel in the taster,  you might start in the  Improvers 01 level, 8:15pm, or be able to do both Improvers 01 and 02 levels. Let's see how it goes and go from there. There's no pressure in Forró and the important thing is to feel good, not to be the ultra mega superstar after 3 minutes of classes.

Q: How many Charlie's (£) are involved?

A:

Drop-in classes are £10 (whichever you do 1 or 2 classes + social).

If you opt by paying monthly, it's £20 for all classes in the whole month. If you are a student that's £15.

If you've been with us long enough, you join the Club and pay £15 per month + get other discounts.

Q: What payment methods are accepted?

A:Pretty much everything. Cash, Bank Transfer, All Cards, PayPal and, say, you know how to cook something really yummy, that might work as well.
