Welcome to a full afternoon and evening connecting with gentle rhythms, partner dancing, human beings and being human, on our alternative Forró Family Valentine's DAY special! - All welcome - No need to bring or find a partner

This Saturday, we invite you on a gentle journey, through some special meetings of the heart, body and mind, to connect with yourselves and others, inspired and guided by the beauty of this Brazilian partner dance that is our number 1 love - Forró!

Please note: This venue is a "shoes off" venue, though you're welcome to bring indoor dancing shoes or dance bare foot or in socks. We are looking forward to moving together with a little more connection to the ground as well as each other!

Each Saturday we organise light-hearted fun lessons where you can learn the basic steps, feel the rhythm and learn to flow around the dance floor. Due to our usual venue being unavailable this week, we are running an alternative event with an emphasis on connection, delicate dancing, and deepening or making new friends at this (slightly) heightened time of year, in collaboration with Julia's other passion which is Moving Connections!

The format for the day will include some very special opportunities to move and meet others in different ways, inspired by forró and also more free-flow movement practices, which will lead into an improvised dance space with DJ Caciassa, who we very excited to have joining us!

Full Afternoon and Evening Timetable:
2pm: Welcome dancing, stretching, making yourselves at home
3pm: Opening Circle and Moving Connections
4pm: Forró Basics with an emphasis on listening and connecting to the rhythm in ourselves and our partner
5pm: Break and Social
5.30pm: Partner dancing tips and creativity
6pm: Bar Opens and lights go down
..until 11pm: Forró and Partner Dance Jam with DJ Cassiaça!
