Co-founder and forró lover DJ Calabreso (aka Andy) will be selecting the tunes this week. Expect some banging grooves, new moves, xote shakers, pé de serrá smoothies, baião breakers and very little arrasta pé.

Get ready to grind, to move your mind, step inside and holla your hips whilst sipping the finest caipirinhas amoungst your friends and forrózeiros.

my favourite forró tunes tend to trigger emotions of passion, longing or raw energy which is hard to describe. I instantly fall in love with songs that move me in some way whether they be old or new. It's true that I will never understand the lyrics in the same way that native speakers do, but I fell in love with forró because of the emotion that comes across in such a magical way that it's more than the language" - Andy

Learn to dance with us!

Forró is a beautiful partner dance where connection with your partner is the key to enjoyment.

Each Saturday we organise light hearted fun lessons where you can learn the basic steps, feel the rhythm and learn to flow around the dance floor. They are also a great way of making new friends so no need to bring a partner.

Timetable:

7pm to 8pm : Forró beginners and improvers dance classes
Classes cost £10 each or cheaper with Class Cards or combined with a party ticket

8pm to midnight : Forró Dance Party with DJ Andy
Party tickets cost £14 on the door,  £12 in advance
