Forró Family with DJ Alvinn

Alvarinn's journey with Forró Pé de Serra began in São Paulo, Brazil, in 2000, at the legendary Projeto Equilíbrio — a place that helped shape the forró community. It was there that he fell deeply in love with the music, learned to dance, and immersed himself in the culture.

Those years also saw him pick up the zabumba, performing alongside local musicians and living the rhythm from the inside out. Music and dance have always been central to his life, and forró has stayed close to his heart ever since.

In 2006, he moved to Europe and stepped away from the scene for several years. Then, in 2022, he rediscovered the forró community in London — and with it, the pure joy, energy, and sense of belonging that only forró can bring.

Inspired by that reconnection, he began his journey as a Forró DJ in London in 2025. His mission is to build dance floors that honor the soul of traditional Forró Pé de Serra while creating unforgettable moments of connection through powerful music and positive energy.

Whether he’s behind the decks or on the dance floor, he is passionate about sharing the rhythm, culture, and spirit of forró with everyone who feels the call.

Forró is a beautiful partner dance where connection with your partner is the key to enjoyment.

Each Saturday we organise light hearted fun lessons where you can learn the basic steps, feel the rhythm and learn to flow around the dance floor. They are also a great way of making new friends so no need to bring a partner.

Timetable:

7pm to 8pm : Forró beginners and improvers dance classes
Classes cost £12 each or cheaper with Class Cards or combined with a party ticket

8pm to midnight : Forró Dance Party
Party tickets cost £15 on the door,  or from £10 in advance
